Continue exploring Fenghuang Ancient Town, a picturesque riverside town praised by New Zealand writer Rewi Alley as one of China's most beautiful small towns. Known as the "Border Town," it is also the hometown of Shen Congwen, the father of Chinese rural literature.
Stroll along the Tuo River, taking in the serene waters and the iconic stilted houses lining the banks. Experience a sense of tranquility far removed from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Observe traditional crafts such as Miao ginger candy-making and silver jewelry crafting.
Visit Shawan Stilted Houses and the filming location of the movie The Bandit Suppression in Western Hunan.
